Prince built Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota in 1987 — his private kingdom where he recorded, rehearsed and lived, now a museum where the purple one was found on April 21, 2016.

Prince filmed Purple Rain at First Avenue — the Minneapolis nightclub that is his spiritual home, where he recorded the concert sequences that became one of cinema and music's most celebrated moments.
